An alien species 100 million light years away from earth, looking at us now with a telescope or whatever the heck they use, would see dinosaurs. Yes, T-Rexs and what not!

For all we know, a planet this far may not even be there. It was there 100 million years ago and that is what we see.

What this also means is that at times, when you see headlines about a far flung planet that could support life, right now, there could be those antennae headed folks looking right back at us with the exact same thought.
