Balance vs. Limit cards: what's the difference?
With Combo Cards, you can issue both balance and limit cards, depending on your needs. Limit cards are great for flexible expense management, while balance cards work best for large payments.
Limit Cards
🟣 Linked to the main account balance.
🟣 Allow setting a spending limit for each card.
🟣 Funds are not locked on individual cards, optimizing cash flow.
🟣 Restriction: the maximum transaction amount is 1/3 of the available balance (e.g., if your total available balance is $90, the limit is $30).
Balance Cards
🟡 Have their own separate balance for transactions.
🟡 Payments go through only if there are sufficient funds on the card; insufficient funds may lead to declines.
🟡 Ideal for large payments.
🟡 Require more working capital when issuing multiple cards at scale.
