A few days ago marked the 28th all-time high for the S&P in 2026—following 57 highs in 2024 and 39 in 2025.
Many were bracing for a third-quarter pullback, but it never materialized. The S&P index gained 2% in Q3 instead.
Historically across all years, Q4 has finished in the green roughly 80% of the time, with an average gain of 4.2% (see screenshot #2).
On October 12, this bull market (2022–2026) turns four years old. Since the bottom of the 2022 bear market, the S&P index has surged nearly 120%.
🔥 Now for the most interesting part on the third infographic! Only five other bull markets over the last 50 years have lasted this long. Every single one of them made it to its fifth year, with an average duration of eight years.
I don't know what you're waiting for, but this is what the numbers are showing us.
