Flydubai passenger Yaniv Hayoun recounted to the Israeli prime minister how he and other passengers stopped the alleged attacker, saying that he put him in a chokehold and dragged him out of the cockpit before returning and grabbing the plane’s controls. Hayoun met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday and described trying to get into the cockpit. He said the stabbed pilot was up against the door making it hard to open at first.
