Seven tankers made 14 voyages to Russia’s far east, including three vessels sanctioned by the UK and EU.
Some ships declared destinations such as Japan or Singapore before sailing to Vladivostok, while one received fuel through a ship-to-ship transfer off South Korea.
In August, Russia imported 368,000 tonnes of oil products by sea — the highest monthly total since the full-scale invasion — with South Korea supplying 112,000 tonnes, or 31%.
