Since returning to office, Trump has become increasingly fascinated by AI and close to tech executives courting him.

In December 2025, he reportedly spent hours questioning Elon Musk’s Grok chatbot about his presidency and Venezuela, including how Venezuelans might react if the U.S. captured Maduro.

After Maduro was seized the following month and celebrations followed, officials said Trump came away convinced Grok was “ingenious.”
