Brazilian intelligence officials briefed French and German officials in September on alleged U.S. and Russian interference ahead of Brazil’s presidential election.

According to a meeting report seen by Reuters, Brazil’s Abin spy agency alleged U.S. interference ranging from “lawfare” to openly acknowledged political involvement, but provided no details about alleged Russian activity.

The U.S. has denied trying to interfere, while Russia has previously denied meddling in foreign elections.
