NEW: UK PM Andy Burnham said the government believes Iran was involved in the RAF Fairford incident, citing “strong indications that Iran played a part.”

“We can confirm our belief that we believe Iran to have played a part.”

He said the investigation remains “ongoing, complex and serious” and that the UK is working closely with the U.S.

On the suspects’ release, Burnham said they are under “the strictest possible bail conditions” and insisted authorities have the case under “the strongest grip and the closest control.”
