When you demonize a guy because he's white, it's just as evil as when you demonize a guy because he's black.

Most of the white guys who hear somebody say, "You have white privilege, so we can ignore what you're saying," or use "white man" as an insult as opposed to just a descriptor, most people are going to get a little annoyed. They're going to go on living their lives.

But some people will get radicalized into some very dangerous ideas.

We can reject the reaction, but we also have to understand it is inevitable when you demonize people that they respond in nonproductive ways.
