The Eastern Mediterranean Gas Forum was designed to exclude Türkiye & limit its rights in the region. Thus Türkiye made its move.
 
First reason for failure was the exclusion of Türkiye - whose inclusion would have made these projects viable.
 
Second reason was Israel’s efforts to expand its influence by instrumentalizing Greece & Southern Cyprus.
