The test used the Hero Kim Kun Ok — a modified Romeo-class diesel sub with ~10 vertical launch tubes, commissioned in 2023 but untested until now.
One missile was fired from a vertical launch system, the other from a torpedo tube.
South Korea’s military said it tracked both launches from start to finish.
