Italian PM Meloni on Russia:

Putin is provoking Europe because he needs to divert attention from how the conflict is going on the battlefield, from the war in Ukraine.

He is looking for a new enemy, and that new enemy could be Europe.

Of course, we must remain alert, monitor the situation and do everything we are already doing.

But I am not in favor of giving Putin that advantage.

I believe that, particularly at this moment, we must demonstrate a cool head.
