The CEOs of ExxonMobil, TotalEnergies, Shell, Chevron and BP were removed from the schedule of the WPC Energy Congress in Riyadh following deadly Houthi attacks on the Saudi capital.

Saudi Arabia proceeded with the event despite security concerns.

Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman acknowledged the risks but insisted that the kingdom’s Vision 2030 plans must continue.
