Israel was obviously within its rights to respond against Hamas. But what we saw was that they didn't just target Hamas. They imposed collective punishment on all the Palestinian people in Gaza.

And we witnessed the horrors of Gaza. The United States government really failed to respond in a way that upheld our laws and our values.

The Biden administration was essentially AWOL when it came to actually drawing clear lines and using our leverage.

And in the end, that amounted, in my view, to complicity in the horrors in Gaza.
