NEW: The first Russian diesel cargo heading for the US left St. Petersburg on 22 September, two weeks before Trump announced the deal.
The Greek-flagged tanker MINERVA ZEN is carrying ~275,000 barrels of diesel/gasoil and is due at the US East Coast around 11–12 October.
Analysts note the promised volumes are still only days’ worth of US distillate demand, and Russian diesel output has been cut by Ukrainian refinery strikes.
