🇾🇪🇮🇷🇨🇳 Yemen's Ansarallah is now developing their own advanced ballistic missiles using components imported from China – WSJ
Ansarallah obtained specialized components to build a version of Iran's Kheibar Shekan precision-guided ballistic missile, which has a range of up to 1,930 km. This would put targets across Saudi Arabia and Israel within its range.
This could allow Ansarallah to build long-range missiles inside Yemen instead of relying on complete missiles supplied by Iran.
Over the past decade, IRGC has helped turn Ansarallah into one of the most capable military forces in the region. Iran has provided Ansarallah with weapons, training and technical support, helping it develop increasingly advanced missile and drone capabilities.
📝 Policy Tensor: The whole China angle is a bit amusing. Is there anyone making anything without Chinese components anymore? Can the US make Tomahawks without Chinese components??
