🇹🇷⚡️ — Archaeologists say they have discovered the world's oldest known shipwreck off the coast of Türkiye, dating back approximately 4,400–4,700 years to the Early Bronze Age, around the time Egypt's Great Pyramid was being constructed.
The wreck was found near Kekova Island in Antalya, roughly 30 meters underwater.
Although the ship's wooden structure has deteriorated, numerous ceramic storage vessels remain scattered across the seabed, some still containing traces of their original contents.
Researchers estimate the vessel was approximately 10 meters long and was used to transport goods across the Mediterranean Sea.
