After the “Army of the Saints” filled the Stade de France and Pope Leo XIV was visibly moved to tears, these were his first words to the 80,000 people gathered for the prayer vigil:

“Dear friends, the first thing I would like to say is very simple. Thank you! Thank you to God! Thank you! Thank you for your courage! Thank you for your presence. Thank you for your faith. You are the saints of France!”
