Inside a Chinese tea house where tradition meets innovation — a project by studio СUN FF

СUN FF studio has designed a retail café centered around the art of traditional Chinese tea. At a time when coffee dominates youth culture, the owners chose to highlight the rich heritage of tea drinking. Their main tool for drawing people in? A minimalist interior defined by smooth, flowing shapes and clean, straight lines.

The entrance area fully embraces Eastern aesthetics as requested by the clients: a horizontal grille above the lightbox blends seamlessly into what appears to be a traditional cornice, while an acrylic U-shaped frame reflects the country’s contemporary spirit. The brand’s signature olive hue communicates core values — naturalness, quality, and connection to nature. A harmonious blend of materials and textures creates visual cohesion, while the striking ceiling, reminiscent of a multi-sloped roof, is enhanced by a sophisticated lighting system.
