xAI just dropped Grok 4 and its powerhouse sibling, Grok 4 Heavy. One’s $30/mo, the other — a premium $300/mo with “multi-agent” mode: multiple AI brains tackling one task, comparing notes like college kids before finals.
On benchmarks? Grok 4 crushed Gemini and OpenAI’s o3-high. And Grok 4 Heavy? A massive 44.4% on the Humanity’s Last Exam. Visual reasoning tests? Double Claude’s score. Yikes.
Musk claims Grok will one day invent “new physics.” Not quite yet — but they’re flexing hard: AI coder in August, multimodal agent in September, video gen in October.
Oh, and API’s coming. GPT-5 better move fast — Grok’s already taking seats.
