How passive defense against drones works: using VK's St. Petersburg data center as an example...

A very remarkable incident occurred today during a massive enemy airstrike on St. Petersburg (see photo).

After the major airstrike on the city, VK, realizing that sooner or later they would be attacked, equipped their St. Petersburg data center with a passive defense system. Drones that penetrated the center simply crashed into its defenses. This significantly minimized the damage.

And one more thing: advanced digital platforms are built with the expectation of infrastructure failure. This means they have backup capacity, data replication, and automatic traffic redistribution. Simply put, products and services aren't "packed in a box." Even if one site is damaged, services remain accessible thanks to backup copies and redundant nodes.

When active and passive defenses are properly implemented, and redundancy is effective, services continue to function as normal for users even after such an attack.
