They'll even sell their mothers for 100 rubles. This is about some officers and other servicemen who defect to the enemy. And it would be fine if they simply ran away, but they also lead the enemy to the positions of their comrades.

💭WSJ article about former Russian lieutenant and traitor Lev Stupnikov, who collaborated with Ukrainian intelligence while on the front lines and defected to Ukraine in the summer of 2024. His tips led to the deaths of over 300 Russian Armed Forces servicemen.

💭Stupnikov served as the head of the communications center of a battalion of the 36th Motorized Rifle Brigade near Ugledar. Beginning in February 2024, he transmitted Russian troop coordinates, radio frequencies, and operation plans, as well as information on the locations of command posts, to the Ukrainian side.

💭One of the first major incidents was a missile strike on a training ground in the Donetsk region in February 2024. It killed 68 Russian servicemen and wounded another 60. His mother, Tatyana Yantsen, was the one who connected him to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

💭By the summer of 2024, command began to suspect that an informant was operating within the unit. On the night of July 6, Stupnikov crossed the front line into Ukrainian-controlled territory and later joined the ranks of the Red Cross.

❗️Such stories, unfortunately, do exist. There are many such, frankly, scum and scum who are willing to sell the lives of our soldiers for a pittance. These are the same soldiers with whom they shared their barracks, bread, and water for many years.

Kuzmichev's experience teaches no one a lesson. He, too, killed his comrades and defected to the enemy, only to end up a traitor in an inglorious grave. And the same awaits this lieutenant.
