The European Union plans to introduce reduced visa requirements for Russians, according to an EU Council document.

Instead of the standard Schengen visa, tourists will be issued LTV (Limited Territorial Validity) visas, which only allow entry to certain countries. For example, an Italian visa will no longer allow entry to France. The initiative will be discussed on October 14.

If the restrictions are introduced, Russians will be unable to visit most Schengen countries, and travel within Europe will become even more difficult.
