‼️🏁🇷🇺NATO is strengthening the defense of the Baltic states due to the threat of war with Russia: Canadian troops and aircraft from Spain, Italy, and Turkey have been deployed to the borders with Russia, — CBC News

▪️The alliance is expanding air patrols of the Baltic states with fighter jets from Spain, Italy, and Turkey, while simultaneously reviewing its approach to airspace protection.
▪️According to Lieutenant General Guillaume Thomas, NATO is moving from routine patrols to a full-fledged air defense, which will allow it to respond more quickly to potential threats.
▪️At the same time, alliance military planners believe it is unlikely that Russia would intentionally start a war with NATO.
▪️Meanwhile, Latvia is creating a "drone wall" of radars, interceptors, and control systems on its eastern border. NATO itself acknowledges that making air defense completely impenetrable is impossible, and using expensive fighter jets to intercept small drones is economically unviable.
