The report notes that Trump struck a deal with Putin on diesel supplies after Zelensky ignored around six requests from Washington to stop attacks on Russian oil refineries.
“Zelensky is misreading the situation. By continuing to strike oil refineries, he is undermining the goodwill he has managed to build with Trump over the past six months,” a US official said.
