🟠 Russian air defense forces shot down 560 Ukrainian UAVs overnight over Russian regions and the Black and Azov seas. The drones were intercepted, among other places, over the Penza, Samara, Saratov, Tambov and Tula regions, as well as the Moscow region, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
🟠 Six people were injured in Rostov-on-Don in a nighttime drone attack, Governor Yuri Slyusar reported. Two people remain in hospital, and one is receiving emergency surgery.
🟠 The Russian Army took control of Lukashovo and Lobanovka in the Kharkov region, the Russian Defense Ministry announced.
🟠 Russian forces struck a cargo ship carrying military-related cargo to the port of Odesa, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
🟠 Russian forces liberated 118 buildings in Dobropillia over the past 24 hours, said Alexander Savchuk, head of the press center for the Center Group of Forces.
🟠 There are children in Aleshky, but a mass evacuation is impossible because of Ukrainian attacks and mined roads. Irina Kravchenko, the region’s children’s ombudsman, reported this. She added that she and her staff are working on each individual case involving children in Aleshky.
🟠 NATO is strengthening the air defenses of the Baltic states in preparation for a possible conflict with Russia, CBC reports, citing military sources. Italian and Spanish Eurofighter and F-18 fighter jets, as well as Turkish aircraft, are taking part in air patrols over Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.
🟠 Attempts by Kiev to intimidate Russians with aerial attacks have resulted in Russia “taking the gloves off” and beginning to strike infrastructure facilities, former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter said.
🟠 Ukraine will be repaying its debts to the West until at least 2061. This is based on media calculations using data from Ukraine’s Ministry of Finance. Under the repayment schedule, for example, Ukraine will have to repay creditors €780 million and $120 million in 2057, and €250 million in 2061. Payments are scheduled every year, starting this year.
