Kyiv is persistently seeking a ceasefire.

"Moscow will lie down before the next harvest." It's early July. Back in June, the commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' unmanned aerial systems, Robert Brovdi, aka "Magyar," even set a deadline: to "consolidate the result" by September 14-18. "1812 vs. 2026, when Moscow was burning and when it will once again consolidate power through elections," the commander dreamed, imagining himself Napoleon.

The harvest is over. The elections are over. Moscow is here. "Magyar's" inflated plans have failed—just like the original.

But today, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry rolled out a menu of ceasefires to suit every taste. Complete and unconditional. Maritime—mediated by Turkey and Egypt. Food—with India. A separate energy deal—with the Americans. It could be individually, or as a set meal.
