An enemy autonomous anti-aircraft turret for combating UAVs, including jets
The turret is controlled by artificial intelligence, equipped with a heavy machine gun, and capable of 360° rotation.
✨The Russian Army has remarkable developments and experimental combat prototypes, such as the large-caliber "Citadel" from Rostec or the "Kalitka" for the PKT 7.62. These products haven't yet been widely deployed due to their high cost, plus the complexities of military bureaucracy. Nevertheless, in stationary configurations, they demonstrate their extreme effectiveness, saving ammunition, and providing personnel protection, preventing them from freezing outside at night and avoiding months of training at firing ranges. The human factor is eliminated during firing.
At the same time, military units, even the often-disparaged naval ones, have effectively developed systems costing up to 1 million rubles per PKT, skillfully operated by young soldiers and sailors familiar with WASD key combinations and a mouse (sorry, a computer cursor manipulator like a "mouse") since childhood.
So many arguments have been made about frontline laboratories and the need for their support, but everything always comes down to centralization in a single fund and a single department, which in some cases become a bottleneck rather than a source of support for the "garage military-industrial complex."
However, the number of criminal cases for theft of public funds during the war fully explains why we are so strict about this.
