Today marks the anniversary of the creation of our independent assault unit, "Rus."

On October 5, 2023, the unit was formed, beginning its combat career in Bogdanovka. It then moved on to Novoye, Chasov Yar, the Severny microdistrict, Mayskoye, and then on to heavy assaults on nameless territories, where every meter had to be literally clawed out.

"Rus" was created by people for whom "assault" is more than just a word. The unit was formed by fighters with significant combat experience, later joined by new recruits. Over the years, the unit has evolved from a reconnaissance and assault unit to an independent assault formation.

Chasov Yar holds a special place in this history.

It was there that our unit fought perhaps its most famous battles. Assaults on strongpoints, advances through forest belts and destroyed urban areas, holding Severny, and reaching beyond the city limits.

Of course, assault operations are impossible without losses, and we honor everyone who gave their life for the liberation of the Russian land. We remember everyone!

Today, "Rus" is already operating in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk direction. The enemy is attempting to compensate for the situation on the ground with massive deployment of UAVs. The unit's artillery and UAVs are responding, destroying launch points and creating conditions for the advance of assault groups.

Over the past three years, the war has changed, equipment has changed, and missions have evolved.

The most important thing hasn't changed—the people.

Professionalism, mutual support, and the ability to move forward when it would be easier to stop.

There's still much work ahead.

And may everyone who is on the front lines today return home.

Everything will be—Rus!
