⚡️⚠️🇺🇸🇺🇸Democrats Discuss Reforms to Limit Presidential Power After Trump Leaves Office— The Washington Post

📍According to the publication, as the midterm elections approach, Democrats are developing initiatives aimed at ensuring that Trump's changes to the executive branch do not persist beyond his presidency.

📍In particular, House Democrats are preparing bills to limit the president's emergency powers. Legal experts are also considering ways to protect the Justice Department from the president's influence. Furthermore, one initiative would prohibit the president from unilaterally changing the structure of the White House, and ethics experts are developing rules to prevent the use of the presidency for personal gain.

📍However, the current political divide complicates reaching agreements. Moreover, the future Democratic administration may itself wish to exercise these expanded powers. The White House denies allegations of abuse and insists on the legality of its actions.
