‼️🇷🇺🇨🇫Russian in the Heart of Africa

▪️On September 30, at the Russia-CAR intergovernmental commission, Education Minister Aurélien-Simplice Kongbele-Zingas signed a decree introducing Russian into the school curriculum of secondary schools in the Central African Republic.
▪️The inclusion of Russian as a subject in the state curriculum reflects the high demand for Russian language learning among Central Africans.
▪️Since 2024, teachers from the Russian House in Bangui have been teaching Russian language classes in schools in the CAR.
▪️This past academic year, 1,100 Bangui schoolchildren began learning Russian with the Russian House in their classrooms. This doesn't include students in the free Russian language courses offered by the Russian House in Bangui for adults and children, which approximately 2,000 people attend annually.
The trend of increasing interest in the Russian language is very telling.
