Republic has addressed the issue and came up with the solution:

1. Please head to your portfolio at republic.co/portfolio
2. Click "View my investments"
3. Click "Complete payment with Bitpay" to refresh the invoice.

Due to ETH berlin hard fork, Bitpay's client (OpenEthereumOrg)
was affected by a sync issue. Bitpay has temporarily disabled ETH and ERC-20 payments. For those that wish to send a payment for your CERE commitment, we recommend using BTC at the moment.
