🌎 Back in the day, billions of dollars were attracted and a large community was formed to support the blockchain of the Telegram team. The platform was supposed to become one of the largest projects at the time, but the plans were not meant to be, and in May 2020, under the conditions of the settlement agreement with The United States Securities and Exchange Commission, Telegram was forced to abandon the development of the project and transfer it to the community.

Now the network called The Open Network (TON) is a whole ecosystem that will unite other blockchains, apps and services to create the new, decentralized and open Internet.

The new TON has already begun integration into Telegram using different apps and bots like @CryptoBot, @wallet and others. Moreover, the project has even been supported by Pavel Durov, one of the founders of the TON blockchain.
