Hey readers how have you been? Before you guys ask, I've been doing marvelous! A short story, actually. I recently confessed something quite humongous to my mom, which she reacted to and responded to very supportively. We then continued to have a rather cathartic and more confessional conversation and at some point I asked her "mom did you ever wish to have a life of your own before having kids?" she replied very carefully and later said that she would've had that chance but her family wasn't it. She would've studied Management, then later Psychology when she was older. Let me tell you, I sobbed very ugly! I'm the eldest of a pretty crowded family and I had that trajectory of hers pretty much cut short or at least redirected and changed, or whatever you want to call it. At the end of the conversation I remember it was 3 AM, and we smoked together before going to bed separately. We decided so much during that discussion such as having these conversations more frequently, for one. And you know what's endearing about it? We plan to have a date once a week to do something together. #BookShare We're reading Kuda Terbang Maria Pinto later this weekend because she saw me buy the book a couple of weeks ago (I haven't read it hehe). I think we had this talk a tad bit late in life but I'm glad that we did. I mean, better late than never! So that's that. Don't forget to tell your mother you love her today! <3
