🤸BREAKING: Australia’s central bank moves closer to tokenised finance

The Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) has launched a new consultation on how its settlement system could support a tokenised financial ecosystem.

The consultation is looking at:

• Settlement of tokenised assets using central-bank money
• Interoperability between tokenised deposits, stablecoins and traditional bank accounts

• How stablecoin issuers could potentially access central-bank reserves

• The future role of tokenised central-bank reserves

The consultation is open until October 30, 2026.
