VIT to Meta as a fresher

This guy from VIT Vellore got into Meta as a fresher. Meta doesn't even hire freshers from IIT; only experienced people. How is this possible? Did anyone else get this opportunity?

Edit: I am not accusing the guy of anything; I just wanted to know from fellow r/Btechtards what their hiring process is if they are hiring freshers off-campus
