An Air India aircraft from Frankfurt to Delhi was diverted to Jaipur on Wednesday morning following a bomb threat, according to sources.

The flight AI2030, operated with a Boeing 787-9 aircraft, made an emergency landing at the Jaipur International Airport and was taken to an isolation bay for security checks, the sources said.

FM Nirmala Sitharaman said the government is open to hearing suggestions on the removal of LTCG tax during consultations for the upcoming Union Budget, amid questions from domestic and foreign investors over equity taxation.

Speaking at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum in New Delhi, Sitharaman said investors, both in India and overseas, had been discussing the taxation of capital gains and different asset classes, including the securities transaction tax (STT).
