🪙Strategy bought another 13,927 Bitcoins at a cost of $1 billion - the position is already close to 800,000 Bitcoins
Michael Saylor continues to do what he has been doing for the past few years – aggressively accumulating Bitcoin positions.
Between April 6 and April 12, Strategy bought 13,927 BTC at an average price of $71,902 per coin, for a total amount of approximately $1 billion.
The company now holds 780,897 Bitcoins on its balance sheet. There are only more than 19,000 BTC away from the psychological threshold of 800,000 BTC.
➡️An interesting point
The purchase price was below Strategy's average holding cost of $75,577.
In other words, the company is still continuing to reduce the cost of holding positions during the correction.
➡️ Where does the money come from?
These purchases were financed through the issuance of STRC instruments, which are preferred shares.
🟡 About 10 million STRC shares sold in one week
🟡 Raised approximately US$1 billion
🟡 Other stocks (STRF, STRK, STRD, MSTR) were not sold during this period
This is one of the largest single-week STRC releases ever, nearly three times the average in recent weeks.
➡️Meanwhile…
In the first quarter of 2026, Strategy recorded $14.46 billion in unrealized losses on digital assets.
But the company's strategy hasn't changed - they've continued to accumulate on the decline.
➡️ What happened in the market at that time
Last week:
🟡 Spot Bitcoin ETFs see inflows of approximately $786 million
🟡 BTC regained $70,000 and briefly rose to $73,000
🟡 US stock market returns to pre-conflict levels
But then, uncertainty surrounding negotiations with Iran returned and the price fell back to around $71,000.
The conclusion is simple: Strategy remains the biggest “money-accumulating machine” on the market. As long as companies continue to actively raise capital and buy Bitcoin, this will create structural support for the price. But the volatility around macro news hasn’t gone away—the market still follows headline after headline.
