#thegirlandthelighthouse A Fisherman’s Rhyme.
Oh sisters three,
Who walk the sea,
At dawn, at dusk, at midnight.
The morning calm,
The evening squall,
The specious lull of starlight.
Oh maiden Calm,
With rising sun,
Your gentle waves caress us.
Our nets you bear,
Your fish you share,
The sea-bird’s sing your chorus.
Oh mother Storm,
The red skies warn,
Our ships of your cruel torrents.
Your roaring clouds,
The fish-wives shawls,
Spare those who reap your currents.
Oh darkest Deep,
May ever keep,
Way far from us your clutches.
May sisters two,
In tomb hold you,
Stay ever true their watches.
