Did KWK just confirm Yash Chopra ghost directed DDLJ?

I know, this gossip about Yash Chopra being a ghost director has come up many times here in the sub. However, while watching KWK, KJo said something like how when he was interning for ddlj, all of them used to travel in a single bus. Whenever Yash-ji (yes, I triple checked, and at least by the time I wrote this question it said Yash-ji only) saw a beautiful place on their way, they used to shoot there, and they didn't explicitly do any kind of scouting for the location…… Now, I know he was the producer of the film, but don't all these creative aspects come under the director?
