Ну вот элвэмэхэ заявили что вдвое уменьшат вес бутылок. С тихими напитками понятно и достойно - экологию надо беречь. Но компания производит почти половину всего шампуса. Половину! А там стремно и небезопасно уменьшать вес стекла

LVMH’s spirits and wine division, Moët Hennessy, has partnered with Verallia to accelerate industry decarbonisation and develop a new generation of glass packaging.

The strategic research and development partnership with Verallia, the world’s third-largest producer of glass packaging for food and beverages, aims to design new glass solutions that combine resource efficiency, circularity and performance.
Glass packaging currently contributes up to 30% of the carbon footprint in the wine and spirits industry, according to the firms.
With the new programme, Moët Hennessy aims to reduce bottle weight by 30% to 50%. The company expects to achieve this reduction through innovative technologies that strengthen the glass while maintaining its mechanical performance.
Initial results are reportedly already evident across several of the company’s products, including Hennessy Cognac.
“Innovation is in Moët Hennessy’s DNA. Having demonstrated that it was possible to design higher-performance glass solutions, we now intend to accelerate their development and widespread adoption,” said Frédéric Dufour, member of the Moët Hennessy executive committee.
“This is the essence of our partnership with Verallia: combining our expertise to pave the way for a new generation of bottles, more resource-efficient, more innovative and capable of supporting the long-term industrial transformation of our sector, as well as the customer experience.”
The project will span the entire value chain, from research and development to industrial validation under real-world operating conditions.
Verallia will use its expertise to improve production processes and equipment, as well as to conduct testing and qualification under practical conditions. The project is part of the group’s mission to reduce its CO₂ emissions.
The rollout will occur over the next decade, with anticipated advancements intended to benefit the entire industry.
Romain Barral, operations director at Verallia, added: “Building on our longstanding relationship and shared environmental ambitions, we are taking the next step with Moët Hennessy by using our industrial know-how to develop new processes and study how they can be integrated into our production facilities.
“By combining glassmaking expertise, an understanding of applications and industrial excellence, we aim to pioneer a new generation of packaging that is lighter and lower carbon while maintaining the same high performance.”
The alliance also aims to tackle the challenges of packaging decarbonisation and to anticipate future regulatory requirements under the European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which will gradually tighten requirements for packaging reduction at the source, recyclability, and circularity.
