Russian police raided a punk and antifascist festival held in a forest near St. Petersburg.
Police labelled the attendees “far-left” and accused them of supporting Ukraine and calling calling for the removal of Putin’s regime..
However, there were no political symbols at the festival. People were detained, and police used violence against some of them.
Repression at cultural events and spaces is common in Russia. Police often act together with the far-right organization Russkaya Obshchina
