because i think we just wanted different things lol. she was the type to take things seriously, while i was still figuring out what i actually wanted. at first, everything felt exciting, but after some time, i started realizing that i wasn't ready for the kind of relationship she deserved. instead of being honest about it, i kept acting like everything was fine. she'd ask me if i still cared, and i'd say yes, because i did, but my actions didn't really show it anymore. the worst part, she never asked for too much. i just wasn't giving enough. so yeah, no cheating, no crazy plot twist. just two people who cared about each other, but ended up wanting different things.
