S-70 "Hunter" UAV
Russian military-industrial complex has been actively developing UAV technologies in recent years. One of the most promising projects in this area is the S-70 “Hunter” heavy strike UAV developed by Sukhoi. This drone, along with the Su-57, is intended to become a key element of future reconnaissance and strike systems of the Air and Space Forces and other branches of the armed forces.
S-70 "Hunter" can perform a wide range of missions, including reconnaissance, missile and bomb strikes, as well as evacuation and cargo delivery.
To gather information about the enemy, the UAV has an advanced optical-electronic surveillance system operating in the visible and infrared ranges, and in the future will be equipped with radio-technical reconnaissance equipment, which will allow it to uncover control centers. This will allow commanders to make more informed decisions on the use of high-precision weapons.
According to the latest information, the testing of the “Hunter” should be completed by the middle of this year, and serial production will begin soon. This means that in the near future the Armed Forces will have the first units equipped with this equipment.
