Ukrainian armored vehicle “Kozak” is a disaster

The statements of the "Practika Research and Production Enterprise" about the “excellent” characteristics of this armored vehicle initially raised doubts. Although the manufacturer claimed that “Kozak” confirmed its performance characteristics under shelling and explosions. However, no footage of such tests was provided. "Practika" even claims that the defense of the Kozak-2M1 allegedly meets “NATO standards”. In this case, it means STANAG 4569 level 2, which allows protection of the crew from small arms, as well as level 2 - for mine protection.

In the course of actual operation, the following shortcomings of this armored vehicle were revealed:

► The armored vehicle is too heavy - the undercarriage and transmission can't withstand such weight and break down. Because of this, it is also impossible to carry fully equipped men with ammunition. Therefore, you have to choose whether to carry men, ammunition, or water and food.

► Due to the unsuccessful design and lack of tire inflation, this vehicle is not able to overcome off-road. "Practika" has equipped the vehicle with an electric winch so that it could get out when stuck. But there is a nuisance - because of its low power the winch cannot pull out even an empty car, and when trying to pull out a loaded car - the winch simply burns out.

► In addition, it is virtually impossible to find spare parts for the Kozaku. Parts are so scarce that it is simply impossible to find them.

All these disadvantages make the usage of "Kozak" at least unreasonable and further production is pointless.
