The AFU T-64 had to take a Leopard-based tractor on tow
This video shows an AFU T-64BV towing a broken-down Bergepanzer-2 armored tracked vehicle. Main purpose of this armored tracked vehicle is to evacuate disabled or damaged combat vehicles, but as you can see something didn't go according to plan.
Specialists note that breakdowns occur not only because of defects in the design, but also because of the low level of training of the AFU soldiers, who took accelerated courses both on the territory of Ukraine itself and abroad.
The Bergepanzer 2 is based on the chassis of the Leopard 1 main battle tanks and is known for its low level of protection. The maximum thickness of armor in the most protected areas does not exceed 35 mm. This disadvantage severely limits their use. This once again demonstrates the inability of German-made combat vehicles to withstand the harsh operating conditions in a real combat situation.
