Bringing Agentic Payments to Hotel Bookings Binance Pay has teamed up with BNB Chain and Travala to enable AI-powered hotel bookings using USDT on BNB Smart Chain. Travelers authorize payment from a self-custody wallet in advance, then search, choose, and book directly through Travala's AI travel agent, with Binance Pay handling execution and settlement: no card details, gas management, or currency conversion required. In this collaboration, BNB Chain provides the Machine Payments Protocol (MPP) SDK and agentic framework, and Binance Pay provides the payment settlement infrastructure. The launch is part of Binance Pay’s broader work on Agent Pay, which is building payment infrastructure for AI agents, applications and machine-driven commerce. Get Up to 10% Back on Your First AI Agent Hotel Booking Booking through an AI agent works a little differently from a standard checkout. You authorize payment in advance, so your agent can complete the booking without you confirming again at the moment of payment. Authorize: Approve payment in advance using USDT from a BNB Smart Chain wallet. Search: Tell Travala’s AI agent where and when you want to travel. Choose: Select your preferred accommodation from Travala’s inventory presented by the AI agent. Book: The agent completes payment and your booking is confirmed. It all happens directly in the browser, with no set up required, no card information to enter, and no gas fees to manage. Hotel bookings are available at launch, with additional travel products expected to be supported in the future. To mark the launch, eligible travelers can receive 7% cashback in BNB on their first qualifying hotel booking through Travala’s AI travel agent. Eligible AVA Smart members can receive an additional 3% cashback in AVA. The promotion applies to qualifying bookings of at least US$400, subject to applicable eligibility requirements and promotion terms. How Binance Pay Powers the Settlement The biggest change with agent payments isn’t simply paying with crypto. It’s who has to manage the payment process. The user chooses and authorizes. The agent and Binance Pay handle execution, settlement and confirmation behind the scenes. Here’s what that looks like technically. When a traveler confirms a booking, they sign an EIP-712 Permit2 authorization offchain. The MPP SDK verifies the signature, wallet balance, allowance, and payment parameters, then sends the verified payment instruction to Binance Pay.
