A stretched line is flat. When God made the earth, Job 38:4-5 says He stretched a line upon the earth. A biblical, stretched out, level line cannot wrap around a spinning, curved, globular ball.

[4] Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding. [5] Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? Or who hath stretched the line upon it?
