I nevermore acquire how my soul instrument works. Understanding comes from the refusal to let distance between me and my gloves, gifted by someone. My fingers always find it, even betwixt the darkness. I memorize its surface, how I remain wounds upon their own physique. The rough that divided when emotions bleed through. I guard it like cadency, I give it inquiry—each resistance speaks more than paragraphs evermore. We’re not longer decayed things. The convenant between us was acquired through midnights of vigilance. The soul instrument doesn’t absorb other palms. It remains its master by the one who lingered when forsaking it would’ve been easier. “Graze what’s not yours, and get the consequence.” / Some convenants are sealed by hush and breaking them draws bloodlife.
