A lot of people keep asking me, “Bull, why didn’t you go to TOKEN2049?”
Bro, what the fuck am I supposed to celebrate?
These events make sense when you're actually winning. When you've built something from nothing, caught a 100x, pushed your project to new ATHs, or genuinely have something to show for your time in this industry.
Look at the FOMO app guys. They had a great run. They earned their moment. Go network, celebrate, enjoy the fucking event.
But if you're getting liquidated every other day, your portfolio is six feet underground, every coin you touch turns into a crime scene, and your biggest achievement this year is surviving another weekly candle…
What exactly are you networking for? 😂
You're not attending a conference. You're attending a costume party dressed as a successful crypto investor.
Some people go to these events to celebrate what they've built. Others go to escape the reality of what they haven't.
There's nothing wrong with networking when you're struggling. But there's a difference between going there to build something and going there to pretend you've already made it.
I'd rather stay home, fix my shit, and show up next year with results than spend three days pretending my portfolio isn't on life support.
Don't confuse being seen in the industry with actually succeeding in it.
The market doesn't give a fuck how many billionaires you took selfies with.
Your PnL is still your PnL.
